Police are warning residents in the Jefferson Park and Norwood Park neighborhoods on the city's Northwest Side after a series of recent burglaries.
In each incident, an unknown offender enters the residence through a windor or door and steals electronics, jewelry, cash and other miscellaneous items. Most of the incidents occurred during the day or early evening hours.
The burglaries took place on Jan. 4 between 5 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in the 5100 block of North Normandy, on Jan. 5 at about 3:10 p.m. in the 5300 block of North Newland, on Jan. 16 or 17 between 7 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. in the 7000 block of West Berwyn and on Jan. 22 between 4:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in the 5100 block of North Nagle.
