Chicago police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run that injured a 63-year-old man in the Lincoln Square neighborhood on the North Side.

Police said the crash took place around 3 p.m. Thursday in the 4800 block of North Western Avenue in the MB Financial Bank parking lot.

A dark gray vehicle, identified as an older model Nissan Rogue SUV, was driving in reverse and struck a 63-year-old man walking in the parking lot.

The car turned westbound onto Gunnison and fled the scene, according to authorities.

Details on the pedestrian's condition were not immediately available.

The vehicle has a broken rear license plate cover and a pre-existing dent on the driver’s side door, police said.
