A shooter was gunned down by a Chicago police officer Thursday morning in the West Englewood neighborhood, officials said.

The officer fatally shot the man around 11:40 a.m. in the 6300 block of South Honore Street as he was shooting at two others nearby, according to a statement from police.

The officer reportedly warned the man that he was a cop, but the man continued to fire.

No other injuries were reported and the Independent Police Review Authority is investigating.
