A 46-year-old man was early Sunday morning in north suburban Evanston, police said.
Evanston Police responded to a call of shots fired around 2:10 a.m. in the 2000 block of Oakton Street where they found an Evanston resident shot.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the right leg and was taken in stable condition to St. Francis Hospital, according to Cmdr. Jay Parrott with the Evanston Police Department.
No other details surrounding the shooting were available Sunday morning.
