Police: Elgin Woman Bit, Spit and Hit Cop

Woman charged after pulling out hair

Getting into a fight is a bad idea. But attacking a police officer? That's downright stupid.

Shanika Wright of Elgin was charged with four counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer after spitting at, biting, and pulling hair from a cop, reports the Sun-Times.

The 25-year-old woman allegedly assaulted Elgin police officials, according to police reports. She spat in a detective's face, bit the detective's finger, and then pulled out a clump of the detective's hair, police said.

And as if that weren't enough, her grand finale was biting yet another officer on the wrist, according to court documents.

Bail was set at $40,000 on Friday.

What a hair-raising tale.
