Police Believe Iowa Murder Suspects Heading for Chicago

The two men are wanted for questioning in a murder in Dubuque, Iowa, on Sunday

Two suspects wanted for questioning in a murder in eastern Iowa could be heading for Chicago, according to police.

The Dubuque Police Department warned law enforcement in central Wisconsin to be on the lookout for Norris Culver, Jr., 30, and Kohlvidas Lee, 27, who may be passing through the state on their way to Chicago, according to local NBC affiliate KWWL.

If found, Culver and Lee will be arrested for outstanding probation violations, but police are also interested in questioning them regarding the murder of James "Jimmy" D. Richardson in Dubuque on Sunday, KWWL reports.

Richardson, of Freeport, Illinois, was found shot to death in the backyard of a home in the 700 block of Rhomberg Avenue. KWWL reports that police found a gun near Richardson's body.

Culver and Lee are described as black men driving a 2001 Chevrolet SUV Venture with Iowa license plates that read "DJF 939."

Police caution anyone who sees Culver and Lee not to interact with them as they are considered armed and dangerous. Instead, they should call police.
