The Plainfield high school teacher who resigned after being accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student has pleaded not guilty in court today.

Ashley Blumenshine, 27, appeared in Will County court this morning on charges of aggravated sexual abuse. Blumenshine was arrested earlier this month when they found her and a student, partially undressed, in her car behind a Kohl's department store in Plainfield.

She said nothing in court today as she stood by her attorney, the Chicago Tribune reports.
