Detectives released surveillance photographs Sunday of a man who is one of two suspected of beating and seriously injuring a cab driver on the Near West Side earlier this year.

The men, who were both fares in the cab, allegedly beat the driver in the head, face and body in the 200 block of North Des Plaines Street, police said. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. Jan. 20.

Both offenders were described to as white males with black hair, 30-35 years of age, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8 inches tall, and weighing around 180 pounds. Police were unable to confirm which attacker is pictured in the photos.
