Photo: Joakim Noah Reveals New Team in Instagram Post

The Joakim Noah era in Chicago has been long rumored to be over, and the center sure looks like he's confirmed those suspicions in a new Instagram post.

The center, who was rumored to be hotly pursued by the New York Knicks as free agency opens in the NBA, posted a photo on his page with a Knicks cap perched precariously atop his legendary flowing locks:

According to a report earlier this week, Noah was expected to land a deal that would pay him $18 million per season to play with the Knicks, reuniting with point guard Derrick Rose after the Chicago-native was dealt to the Big Apple last week. Marc Stein of ESPN corroborated reports of the Knicks’ interest, saying that teams had backed out of the Noah sweepstakes because New York was viewed as such a heavy favorite to land his services.

No official contract can be signed until next week, but for all intents and purposes Noah’s time in Chicago is over.
