Person Struck, Killed by Metra Train

Trains delayed over two hours

A person was struck by a Metra Train on the Union Pacific North Line near the Ravenswood stop Tuesday Afternoon, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Train 335 hit the person around 4:30 Tuesday, the report said. That train was not set to stop at the Ravenswood station, and was due in Kenosha by 5:39 p.m., the report stated.

Six trains were shown as either delayed or late Tuesday night on Metra's website. Train 356 arriving to Chicago saw the longest delay of 2 1/2 hours.

Commuting problems in the Chicago area were compounded by delays on the CTA Brown, Red, and Purple Lines.
