PHOTOS: A Night of 100 Stars
The DuSable Museum of African American History celebrated its 50-year anniversary with the annual A Night of 100 Stars Gala. This year's honorees were syndicated-radio talk-show host Tom Joyner (Superstar Award); Founder, President and CEO of Urban Prep Academies, Tim King (Meteor Award); Chaz Hammel-Smith Ebert (Celestial Award), president of Ebert Productions LLC, Executive Producer of "Ebert Presents At The Movies," and wife of film critic Roger Ebert and Jeremy Winters, who was presented his Rising Star Award by Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel, who chose Winters as his student advisor. Winters, a junior at Simeon Career Academy, is the creator of Simeon After-School Arts Group.
