Oprah is reportedly showing some frugality with her much-anticipated Favorite Things list this year.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports Oprah Winfrey might be one of the wealthiest celebrities with an estimated worth of $2.5 bilion, but that doesn't mean she can't be frugal during these difficult economic times.

Case in point, this year's "Favorite Things" are much less frivolous. Gone are the digital camcorders and and high-end refrigerators. The list, revealed on the show Wednesday, is reportedly made up of many items under $100.

What about the average family of hard working people who can barely make ends meet, put food on thier tables and keep the lights and heat on? Why don't these people make the headlines?
