Officer sustained three bite wounds to her hand

A student at Al Raby School for Community and Environment faces aggravated battery charges after a Chicago Police officer says the girl bit her.

Danielle McClinton, 17, is scheduled to appear in court Friday morning on mob action and felony battery charges. She was charged as an adult, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Three other female students also were arrested during a school fight. They were charged with misdemeanor mob action.

Police say the girls started fighting in the lunchroom at the school just after noon Thursday. The officer sustained three bites to her hand as she tried to break it up.

The officer's wounds are said to be "relatively minor".
