Obama Promises 'First Dog' to Sasha, Malia Americans push for choice of poodle

NOVEMBER 04: U.S. President elect Barack Obama walks on stage, with his wife Michelle (R) and daughters Malia (2nd R) and Sasha to, address his supporterss during an election night gathering in Grant Park in Chicago.

 

"I love you both more than you can imagine," Obama told his daughters, Sasha and Malia, during his address in Grant Park Tuesday night.  "You have earned the puppy that is coming with us to the White House."

Barack Obama acknowledges the support and love of his family in accepting the position of President of the United States.

It may be the president-elect's first public appointment.

Obama, in an interview with a Chicago reporter, recently said that the family was looking into labradoodles.  Sources close to the family,  however, say daughter Malia is more interested in a "goldendoodle," a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle.

Gee for the first time we have a black president why not a breed that has been totally misjudged. It’s a breed great for family and is the most loving dog I have ever owned.
