Obama Gets Early Look at New Season of “Game of Thrones”

The show’s creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss confirmed rumors that Obama received screeners of the show before the general public

Winter has come and gone for President Barack Obama.

While most "Game of Thrones" watchers must wait patiently to find out what Khaleesi, the mother of dragons, will breathe into season 4, a report from Vanity Fair says Obama already has the answers.

The show’s creators, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, confirmed rumors that Obama received screeners of the show before the general public, telling Vanity Fair’s Jim Windolf that one perk of “being the most powerful man in the world” is that “you get to see episodes early.”

Obama’s TV preferences were made public in a New York Times article last year, where he noted favorites like “House of Cards,” “The Wire,” “Homeland” and “Game of Thrones.”

President Obama reportedly even asked HBO CEO Richard Plepler at a state dinner last month for advanced copies of both “True Detective” and “Game of Thrones.”

But don't expect any spoiler alerts from House Obama anytime soon. The President made it clear before the premiere of "House of Cards" that he's not a fan of revealing answers when he tweeted "Tomorrow: @HouseofCards. No spoilers, please."
