New Obama Ad Keeps Up Romney-Bain Criticism

Obama's Chicago camp not done with Romney's tenure controversy

President Barack Obama's campaign isn't letting go of a Boston Globe report about Mitt Romney's tenure at Bain Capital.

A new ad released Wednesday by the Chicago-based camp again points to the Globe's July 12 report of Bain paperwork citing Romney as CEO in 2002 after he claimed he left in 1999.

The web video notes Romney defended the claims during a TV interview with a rambling explanation of his ties to a "general partnership" or "a management entity" but had no responsibility over managerment or ownership after February 1999.

Apparent passersby read the explanation on camera then gave dubious reactions to its meaning.

"That sounds very suspicious," one woman said. "He says 'entity' a lot."

Romney's campaign officials have called Obama's response "the height of hypocrisy," pointing to donations Obama accepted from Bain.

A new video from Romney's camp accuses Obama of cronyism and asks "where did all the stimulus money go?" It answers: “Friends, donors, campaign supporters, special interest groups."
