Oak Park is now considered to have one of the greatest neighborhoods in the United States.

The American Planning Association, picked the Frank Lloyd Historic District in Oak Park for its 2010 list of the nation's greatest neighborhoods.

The APA recognizes it as the "world's greatest single-greatest concentration of residences designed by architects representing the Prairie School Style," according to a press release.

The district is on the north side of Oak Park between Division and Lake streets. The unique homes that comprise the area are from the 19Th and 20Th century and were designed by the iconic architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
