At least nine more people have come forward claiming their taxes were filed, social security numbers stolen and identities lifted at an H&R Block branch in East Chicago, according to the Northwest Indiana Times.

It's the same location that was implicated in ID thefts last week.

The most recent victims allege that they filed their 2008 returns at the office at 3932 Main Street They explain that they were all notified that the IRS had rejected their 2009 return because their social security number had already been used.

Officials at the H&R Block district headquarters in Merrillville said the company is currently investigating the allegations.

Police advise those who believe they are victims of tax preparation fraud to fill out an IRS Identity Theft Affidavit, which can be picked up at the James Knight Public Safety Facility at 2301 E Columbus Drive in East Chicago.
