Expect Nighttime Delays on Red Line This Week

Overnight construction at the North/Clybourn CTA station is expected to cause delays this week, and riders are advised to allow extra travel time.

Red Line trains in both directions will operate on the same track between the Clark/Division and Fullerton stations from 11 p.m. Sunday until 4 a.m. Monday while crews make station improvements to the North/Clybourn station, according to the CTA’s Web site. The work will continue at the same time in the next two nights, ending early Wednesday.

As a result, passengers must board and exit all trains on the 95th-bound side of the platform at the North/Clybourn station.

From 11 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday, passengers must board and exit all trains on the Howard-bound side of the platform because of the construction.

The CTA advises passengers allow extra travel time.
