Though most of St. Patrick's Day weekend remained dry, a winter weather advisory was issued Monday through 11 a.m.
A wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain began the cloudy, cool start of the week before changing over to rain and snow by the afternoon. Accumulation between a half-inch and an inch is expected.
Sunday’s temperatures were significantly lower than last year's 80-degree weather, peaking in the mid-30s. That trend remains for the near future with a high of 39 degrees Monday and dipping below 30 mid-week.
Monday's storm caused a couple spin-outs during the morning commute and drivers are urged to use caution on slippery roads for the evening.
The week ahead is forecast to be clear and dry, though temperatures will remain cold.
