Police said a bomb threat at a South Loop subway station Monday night was “not bonafide.”
A threat about a bomb at the CTA Red Line Roosevelt station was called in about 11:15 p.m., and the police Bomb and Arson Unit investigated, police said.
Police said the call came from a pay phone located in the 1200 block of South State Street.
The scene was cleared about an hour later after no bomb was found, according to authorities.
Red Line service was temporarily rerouted due to police activity, but has since returned to normal, the CTA said.
