A New Trier German teacher was fired Wednesday morning for "reasons related to an inappropriate relationship with a student."
The New Trier Board of Education voted during a special meeting Wednesday morning to dismiss German teacher Daniela Rossmann, Superintendent Linda Yonke said in a letter to parents.
Rossmann, a full-time teacher who taught at New Trier since 2003, has not been charged.
School officials removed Rossmann from her teaching duties last week after allegations involving her surfaced, according to the letter.
Parents were informed earlier this week of the pending investigation.
Yonke said administrators and social workers met with students in Rossmann’s classes on Tuesday.
