The National Transportation Safety Board has released transcripts of comments made by the operator of Chicago Transit Authority train that jumped the tracks in March 2014

The National Transportation Safety Board on Thursday released transcripts of comments made by the operator of Chicago Transit Authority train that jumped the tracks in March 2014 and scaled an escalator at O'Hare International Airport.

According to documents, Brittney Haywood told investigators she was tired on the day of the accident that left more than 30 people injured.

Haywood said she worked nearly 69 hours in the week leading up to the day of the crash. She noted she got a full night's sleep the night before the accident, but the day before she participated in a flag-football practice.

Haywood also told NTSB investigators she shut off the heater in her cab so that she might stay more alert.

CTA officials did not comment on the document release.
