Naperville police are searching for a suspect after a home invasion in the western suburb.

Police said the incident began at about 10 a.m. Monday on Whitehorn Circle on the city's west side. Details on what happened weren't immediately known, but police said it involved a home invasion and may be domestic-related.

When authorities arrived, a suspect fled the scene and remains on the run, according to Cmdr. Louis Cammiso.

No one was in custody as of 1 p.m.

One officer did suffer minor injuries in the incident but is believed to be OK, Cammiso said.

It was not immediately clear if the suspect was armed.

Indian Prairie School District 204 in the area tweeted Monday afternoon that "all of our students are safe and secure."
