Naperville Man Taken for $200K in Scam

He was bamboozled by a fake girlfriend in London

A Naperville man got duped twice: He lost $200,000 and a supposed girlfriend in an Internet scam.

The 48-year-old man wired the money to an online girlfriend in London who turned out to be fake.

He found out she wasn't real after he called Naperville Police to report she'd been kidnapped.

The man wired the money to banks in Nigeria, Malaysia, Endland and the United States over 2 1/2 years, according to the Naperville Sun.

It was a sample Florida driver's license of the supposed girlfriend that fooled him.
