NBC 5, Telemundo Chicago Host Disaster Relief Drive on Friday

During the drive, call 312-836-4855 to donate through NBC 5 or 312-836-4844 to donate through Telemundo Chicago.

In the wake of deadly earthquakes in Mexico and horrific hurricanes that recently hit parts of the U.S. and Caribbean, NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago are working with the American Red Cross to support relief efforts.

On Friday, Sept. 22, it will be easier than ever to donate to the Red Cross in support of areas affected by these recent devastating natural disasters.

Want to join us in Making a Difference? From 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago are hosting a Disaster Relief Drive.

Here's how to donate. During the drive, call 312-836-4855 to donate through NBC 5 or 312-836-4844 to donate through Telemundo Chicago.

You also can click here to donate online to help people affected by Hurricane Maria, Mexico earthquakes, Hurricane Irma or Hurricane Harvey. Online donations are being accepted now and will continue to be taken after Friday's Disaster Relief Drive.

The Red Cross has launched a massive relief response to the storm, and NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago are committed to raising money for relief efforts.

In addition, just as you helped NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago "Clear the Shelters" this summer, many of the same animal shelters are helping rescue dogs and cats in Texas to make room for pets displaced in the storms.
