Dunn Out of Lineup for White Sox vs Tigers

Chicago leads the Tigers by two games atop the AL Central

Major league home run leader Adam Dunn is out of the starting lineup for Chicago's game Saturday night at Detroit because of a strained oblique.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura says he's sitting Dunn as a precaution, but the slugger could potentially pinch-hit. Dunn has 38 home runs.

Chicago leads the Tigers by two games atop the AL Central.

The White Sox also reinstated catcher Tyler Flowers from the paternity list, recalled right-hander Deunte Heath and right-hander Brian Omogrosso from Triple-A Charlotte, purchased the contract of infielder Dan Johnson from Charlotte and reinstated infielder Orlando Hudson a and left-hander Leyson Septimo from the disabled list.

Ventura says outfielder Alejandro De Aza, out with bruised left ribs, is likely to rejoin the team Sunday.
