Mulu Seboka of Ethiopia enters Chicago challenging Florence Kiplagat and seeking her first AWMM career win. 

Seboka launched her professional running career 12 years ago with a modest 2:46:33. Over the past decade, she has run more than 35 marathons, an unprecedented achievement for an elite marathoner, and welcomed the new year with a personal record in Dubai, 2:21:56.

“Every athlete dreams of running the biggest races in the world so I am very pleased to run my AWMM debut through the streets of Chicago,” Seboka said. “My aim is to be as competitive as possible and back up my performance from Dubai with another strong result in advance of the Olympic year in 2016.”
