A recent report named multiple suburbs among the best cities for Illinois families.
In all, 162 cities were ranked on WalletHub’s survey. The findings were based on categories including most playgrounds per capita, most attractions, and most affordable housing, according to the report.
The central Illinois city of Morton was crowned the best city in the Land of Lincoln, but coming in a close second was northwest suburban Deerfield, according to the survey.
Deerfield received high marks in the affordability, socioeconomic environment, and family life and fun categories, according to the report.
Several other suburbs also cracked the top 10, including northwest suburban Libertyville, which ranked fourth, and southwest suburban Hinsdale, which ranked sixth on WalletHub’s report.
