Multimillion-Dollar Bonds For 3 Charged with October Shooting

Three men were held with multimillion-dollar bonds Saturday after they were charged with October shooting of a 73-year-old man.

18-year-old Aramis McKinzie and 20-year-old Akeem Simmons were held on a $4 million bond, while Garlin Minor, 19, was given a $3 million bond.

The three men are accused of killing William Thomas in October, though police say Thomas was not the intended target.

Thomas was shot in the back of the head while sitting on a porch in the 6800 block of South East End Avenue Oct. 12, according to police, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
