Mr. Burris Goes to Washington

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich introduced former Illinois Attorney General Roland Burris as his choice to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama during a press conference at the Thompson Center December 30, 2008.

Besides....from what I see BLAGO sold the seat anyway to BURRIS...GAME SET MATCH.....The joke is on us. just watching our dim witted politians run around like CLOWNS is remarkable...hearing them say we are not we are not then to see them COW DOWN.........I have lost all respect for them....They way I see it, he made fools out of all politians in Illinois...Congrats............... ... What, other than ego, would prompt Burris or anyone to accept this appointment under these circumstances? I don't know him but I'm sure he's a qualified candidate. (What are the requirements to be a US Senator? A felony conviction?) But could the governor at least chosen someone who can form a sentence in proper grammar? The Ebonics Senator from Illinois? I guess the articulate candidates were smart enough to say no thanks. ... MORE >
