A woman is facing charges after she left her 2-year-old child in her car while she worked in a Northwest suburb.
The young woman told police she could not afford a babysitter, so she decided to leave the child in her car while she worked as part of the cleaning crew at a movie theatre in Glenview, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The woman also told police a co-worker checked on the child every 15 or 20 minutes, the Tribune reports.
The Illinois Department of Child and Family Services is investigating.
