A 22-year-old woman and her boyfriend were charged with felony child abuse after police reported their 8-month-old suffered multiple fractures, burns and malnourishment.

Priscilla Forys and 21-year-old Julian Hernandez were charged with felony aggravated battery and misdemeanor endangering the life/health of a child after an investigation was prompted when Forys brought her son to St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital with injuries.

The investigation began Jan. 30 by DCFS and Area Central SVU Detectives, and found Forys and Hernandez, of the 2300 block of West Grand Avenue, responsible for the boy’s injuries and severe neglect of Forys’ 3-year-old daughter.

Both were scheduled to appear in bond court Saturday.

The children are in DCFS custody.
