Missing Schaumburg Man Found Dead

Authorities confirm body found in an Indiana field is that of missing Schaumburg man

A search for a missing 19-year-old man has ended tragically after police found his body in an Indiana field.

Authorities confirmed Thursday that the remains found two days earlier in a field in Fountain County, Ind., are those of Kevin Heinl from Schaumburg.

Police found Heinl's body in a field along County Road 650 North, just a few miles away from where his car was found abandoned in early March, the Daily Herald reported.

Heinl's wallet with identification was found along with his body, and the Fountain County Coroner confirmed the death with dental records.

Reports indicate the last time Heinl's parents saw him, he was headed to a new job at Woodfield Shopping center, but never showed up.

Heinl's family told the Daily Herald the news gives them some closure, but they are devastated.

The cause of death is still unknown but an autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
