Missing Bi-Polar Man Has History of Weapons Violations

Nikolic Toma is bi-polar, has a history of weapons violations, and recently called his parents to curse and threaten them. Police want to know where he is.

A bi-polar man with a history of weapon offenses checked himself out of an Oak Lawn hospital Wednesday and hasn't been seen since.

Toma Nikolic, 37, was admitted to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn on Dec. 5 for an evaluation, but checked himself out on Wednesday, Dec. 9.

He has been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and is believed to be off his medication, according to a missing persons alert from the Cook County Sheriff’s office.

Nikolic has not been seen but has called his parents to curse and threaten them. He has a history of weapons offenses, the alert said.

Nikolic is white, five-foot-eleven, 167 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes and fair skin, the alert said.
