This weekend the Chicago locale will play host to the 2010 U.S. Open Squash Championships, dubbed Squash in the Park.
Squash, not to be confused with Autumnal vegetables, is actually a very popular international sport ranked as the one of the healthiest sports to play, according to Forbes.com.
"In Forty minutes you have fun, get a great workout, and burn loads of calories," Says Nick Matthew, #2 Squash player in the world. He breaks down the fundamentals of the sport on a YouTube video featured on the Squash in the Park's website.
A four-wall glass court at Jay Pritzker Pavilion will act as the battle ground for 16 of the sport's top athletes.
Two Americans, Latasha Khan and Amanda Sobhy, made it passed round one and will play back-to-back games Wednesday evening. If they "squash" their respective opponents then they will play each other in Round Three on Thursday and have a shot at the championships this weekend.
