Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich tells WLS AM radio, he should have the right to call witnesses at his impeachment trail next week.

Blagojevich went on a media blitz Friday, sheduling an afternoon press conference and radio interview.  The governor's Illinois Senate impeachment trial is set for Monday. He's been charged in federal court with auctioning off President Barack Obama's U.S. senate seat to the highest bidder.

Earlier Friday morning, Gov. Blagojevich lashed out at the impeachment process, saying he's not guilty of any wrongdoing.

"I think the fix is in. They even have a date when the trial will end," Blagojevich said. "How fair is that?"

The governor said if he had done something wrong, he would have resigned.

"This is a 21st century Frank Capra movie -- Gary Cooper, Jimmy Stewart movie. How the good guy was up against the establishment,"  he said. "This is what this story is. The difference is you wouldn't hear the language used in those movies."

Another movie that comes to mind? "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest."

NBCChicago.com will offer live video of Gov. Rod Blagojevich's impeachment trial each day beginning Jan. 26.

NBC 5 Chicago will also broadcast the trial on its digital channel "NBC Plus," which can be found on Digital Channel 5.2, Comcast Cable Channel 194, RCN Cable Channel 190 and West Cable Channel 130.
