Palatine Woman Accused of Making Child Porn

Woman recorded a 14-year-old girl in the bathroom

Double-oh-no-you-didn't.

A Palatine woman used a James Bond-like camera pen to tape a 14-year-old girl in the bathroom, prosecutors say. She then allegedly sent the videos, via email, to a 16-year-old boy she'd met on the Internet, according to Chicago Breaking News.

Mary Cordes, 45, now stands accused of making and distributing child porn. Bond was set at $30,000 at a hearing in Rolling Meadows branch court.

Cordes allegedly met the 16-year-old boy online and traded sexually-explicit messages with him, authorities said. The woman told the boy about the 14-year-old girl, and the boy asked her to send him naked pictures of the girl, according to Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Shilpa Patel.

Cordes placed a small pen camera in the bathroom of her residence and in that manner obtained videos of the girl partially undressed.

Cordes placed the videos on a flash drive and took them to work to edit them. She asked a co-worker to help her. The co-worker reported the images to a supervisor. Cordes was immediately fired and the police were contacted.
