The body of a man was found in Lake Michigan on the city’s South Side Saturday afternoon.

Fire officials responded to the scene in the 5700 block of South Lake Shore Drive just after 4 p.m., according to Chicago Fire Media.

The body of an adult male was pulled from the water and was dead on the scene, officials said.

The man had not been identified as of 6 p.m. Saturday. The fire department said Chicago Police are handling the investigation.
