Man in Custody After Barricading Himself in Lakeview Home

The man allegedly barricaded himself after a domestic-related argument

An armed man who barricaded himself inside a home early Saturday in the Lakeview neighborhood, prompting SWAT and police response, is in custody.

At about 3:15 a.m., the 28-year-old had a domestic-related argument before barricading himself in the 1400 block of West Cornelia, police said. He was believed to be alone in the home, police said.

At 7:20 a.m., an officer at the scene said a person had been taken into police custody and that authorities would reopen the area in about 30 minutes.The man turned himself in and there were no injuries, according to police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.
