Man Stabbed on Red Line Train in Loop

A man was stabbed late Wednesday on a Chicago Transit Authority Red Line train in the city's Loop.

Just after 10 p.m., police say a 36-year-old homeless man was on a train in the 1100 block of South State when he got into an argument with another homeless man on the train. The other man then pulled out a knife and stabbed him, according to Chicago Police.

The offender fled on foot after the stabbing, police said, and the victim went to a CTA employee at the Roosevelt station for help.

He was transported to the hospital in critical condition after suffering stab wounds to the arm and stomach, police said.
