One person is in custody for allegedly stabbing an acquaintance in the neck during an early Sunday argument in the Bronzeville neighborhood.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was stabbed around 12:40 a.m. at 4218 S. Cottage Grove Ave., police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
Police said an acquaintance stabbed the man in the face and neck area during an argument inside a home.
The man was initially taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in critical condition. Police said he was expected to survive.
The attacker was taken into custody, but no charges had been filed as of 4:30 a.m., police said.
