An 18 year-old man was shot on the city's southwest side early Thursday.
The man was shot in the head near a gas station in Marquette Park at 72nd Street and Western Avenue around 3:30 a.m., police said.
A fire department official said the man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical center in Oak Lawn in critical condition.
Police are still investigating the incident. No one is in custody.
