Man Shot at Suburban Chicago Golf Course

Course manager Jerry Vidovic calls the shooting "a mystery" and "a terrible incident"

A suburban Chicago golf course manager says he believes a shooting that injured a man as he loaded his clubs is a car was an isolated incident.

The 42-year-old golfer was shot in the arm and leg last week at Blue Island's Meadows Golf Club.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.

General manager Jerry Vidovic calls the shooting "a mystery" and "a terrible incident." He says there's never been a shooting at the course.

Vidovic says the man who was shot was a regular player at the club who'd just finished practicing when he was shot by someone in a blue vehicle, which drove away.

Blue Island police told the paper they're investigating, but didn't return a message seeking comment Tuesday.
