A woman was sexually assaulted in River Forest by a male acquaintance with a sword, police said.
Kenneth W. Merrills, 20, was reportedly still inside a 43-year-old woman’s home armed with a sword when she called police Thursday.
Merrills allegedly battered, sexually assaulted and unlawfully restrained the victim in her home on Lake Street in River Forest and was charged with Class X felony aggravated criminal sexual assault and Class 3 felony unlawful restraint, according to the Chicago Tribune.
He was held on $15,000 bond Friday, the Tribune reported.
