A man walking near the Shedd Aquarium was robbed by two teenage boys who implied they had a gun, police confirmed Wednesday.
The robbery occurred about 9:40 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Lake Shore Drive when a 34-year-old man was approached by the boys, who police say were in their late teens, and demanded his property.
After the man gave up his property the teens ran away, police said.
The robbery occurred while tourists and visitors were out and about in the area who expressed shock about the crime.
Area Central detectives were investigation and no one was in custody Wednesday.
