Man Pulled from Lake Michigan Dies

A man died Sunday morning after being pulled from Lake Michigan on the South Side.

The man was pulled from the water around 3:40 a.m. near the 6500 block of South Promontory Point Drive, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The man, who was in his 20s, remained unidentified Sunday morning.  He was pronounced dead at 4:31 a.m. at University of Chicago Medical Center, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

An autopsy is scheduled for later Sunday.
