A man was found dead with gunshot wounds to the head and chest in his backyard in the Southwest Side's Little Village neighborhood late Saturday.

Police found the 23-year-old man dead at the scene in a backyard in the 2500 block of South Spaulding Avenue about 11:40 p.m., according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.

Marcus Winsley, who lived in the home, was pronounced dead at the Stein Institute at 2:45 a.m., after being shot at the same location, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

No one was in custody early Sunday. Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
