Man Killed, Another Injured in Bolingbrook Shooting

Police found one man shot to death outside a home, and another inside the house with a gunshot wound, at a gathering of friends after a funeral

One man was killed and another person was critically injured in a shooting after a funeral Saturday evening in southwest suburban Bolingbrook.

Officers responding to a house in the 100 block of Cypress Drive in Bolingbrook at 7:12 p.m. found one man apparently shot to death outside and another man inside the house with a gunshot wound, according to a statement from Bolingbrook police.

Bolingbrook resident Juantrelle Quarles had been shot repeatedly and was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:40 p.m., according to the Will County coroner’s office.

The other person injured in the shooting was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.

Additional details on the shooting were not immediately available. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact detectives at (630) 226-8620 or Crime Stoppers at (630) 378-4772.
