A man was found dead inside a vehicle in the parking lot of a Dollar General store Monday afternoon in southwest suburban Joliet.
The 35-year-old man was discovered in the back seat of the vehicle parked in the 900 block of West Jefferson Street in Joliet, according to the Will County coroner’s office.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:10 p.m., the coroner’s office said. His name was not released pending notification of his family.
Deputy Police Chief Alan Roechner said there were no signs of trauma and authorities do not yet know the man’s cause of death.
An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday.
